Yep got to love those gifts... One of our dogs use to bring us mice from the horse hay shed, even live ones!

The only gift my cat leaves ME is cat puke. On my bed. Generally while I'm sleeping or after I just washed the sheets.

And then she wants me to watch her eat.
Jerk.

pinemarten127 December 19th, 2009, 6:25 pm
Gotta love psychology. Remember, aspiring parents, mozart is good for babies, not dead rats!

The moral of this story is that even your fugly child can grow up to be a male model and will give extravagant gifts to his wife. :3
Mikseky July 10th, 2010, 12:56 am

OMG Hilarious! My cat once chased a chipmunk into our basement and we had to get it out 0_o

Haha, awesome.

Pfff my mother used to tell me the same thing! We would always find dead lizards and rats by our front door and throughout our entire backyard. She said that they were gifts but I just think my cat was a serial killer.
CharmedbyFire August 16th, 2010, 3:30 am
Be careful what you say... And that's why parents should always watch what they say to their kids.

Interesting. Fantastic. Neato heh.

I love how 28 years later, he still has that formidable hair curl.
KimberleyT (Guest) June 10th, 2013, 7:55 pm
good grief surely he would have learned in his 28yrs that thats not a proper gift. A vacuum cleaner would have been better than a dead object. I hope "sweetheart" has words for him.
Happy Fuzzy (Guest) April 15th, 2014, 9:34 pm
Ha! Best one yet.
Amake (Guest) May 20th, 2014, 5:30 pm
odaw.blogspot.com Gets kind of differently funny if you're aware cats do this because they think you're a bad hunter who need help feeding yourself.
silverumbreon (Guest) August 24th, 2014, 9:49 am
This is why some of us have indoor cats.
eekee August 2nd, 2018, 3:21 am
Hahahahaha what Amake said! I knew that, but didn't think about it in this context. It's one of the reasons I don't have a cat, I am definitely a bad hunter and have trouble feeding myself. I don't want to know what a cat would do with me! XD

My own thought on this is, "That's one way to break up!" It ties in with my thing about the subconscious finding a way to play out trauma. 'Course, it takes a bit more trauma than this to cause that.
