And we shall call it the Festive Pile and it shall shine bright throughout Decemeber and give us hope. Sometimes we may refer to it as the Rave Pile, but only sometimes. Sometimes is enough.

One year, we had four very long sets of light all tangled into a similar pile. We found a couple of loops, strung them up from the curtain rod and had the whole pile hanging in front of the window.

It's one of my very fondest Christmas memories... I hope we have a photo somewhere.
