I like learning about art but sometimes I think people push it a bit. Same happens with literature.

this actually happened to me once. we had to write monologues from the point of view of characters from a book we had read in class. I preformed mine, and the teacher goes "that was wonderful, you kept referencing water, because her husband drowned! oh, you certain have a deep knowledge of the book" I had actually never read the book and had no idea that this chicks husband drowned, I just liked how poetic it sounded with references to water in it.
